Early run at Ute Valley Park

Got out early this morning for a nice trail run at Ute Valley Park. We were limited on time, so it's nice to have something you can run right out the front door! Making our way up one of the ridge climbs, there is a nicely worn path in the little bit of snow that's left from Wednesday's storm.
On the north facing rim, there was a bit more snow. This area will stay covered for winter unless we get some REALLY warm weather. It was quite nice this morning compared to the mornings we have had all week - it was 30 to start and we got some sun to peek out during the run.
Looking out across the park from the southern rim.
Kathleen making tracks on the descent off the southern rim of the park.
We had to pause for a group photo at the arch on our climb out of Ute. It was nice to get in some quality trail early today - a great way to start any day!!!

Also wanted to give a huge congratulations to our local running phenom Matt Carpenter for his win today at the North Face Endurance Challenge 50 M in San Francisco - AWESOME!
